Brittni was beyond spectacular. I met her at a pediatricians office, my son & her son hit it off and I was about 20 weeks pregnant at this point. I knew I wanted a completely natural birth & she happened to mention she was a doula! The moment I met her I felt very at ease, safe & well heard just from our brief convo, so I knew we wanted her as our doula! The entire time leading up to my birth & even before we hired her, she was very informative, communicative & it felt as though I was making a genuine friend!
Any bump in the road, she offered solutions, a listening ear & constant reassurance, I’m pretty sure I was a stress case!!
She met me twice before hand, and we made a birth plan & went over positions for certain things during labor that we could try, and I do want to mention that these meet ups weren’t “ hi, bye” it was her over for a solid couple of hours, talking & connecting.
When I did go into labor she was in contact with me the second I texted her that my water broke, she maintained contact the entire time & followed my lead on what I wanted. After baby was born she made sure I was okay, helped me shower, got my clothes for me, brought me the most delicious cookies as a snack, offered to get me coffee, juice whatever I needed.
I could go on & on!!! About the constant support, genuinety and kindness that I received from her, not to mention towards my husband and my now two kids as well.
Worth every penny, especially for such an important event in your life, it’s amazing if you can make it a positive one.
